The boy finds himself in a group of samurai, who are going to raise him as a real warrior. Josh could not know that soon he will have to fight with monsters, mutants, preparing to take over the world.
Colin Ford, who played the lead role in the series, long could not get used to the image. Despite the undeniable talent, the boy was lost on the set. Then the director forced the crew to leave the pavilion and began to calm the agitated Colin. He told the story of his character in simple words, so that the child’s eyes lit up with the desire to convey the depth of experience of a boy growing up on the street, who was destined to become a hero. After an hour of psychological work, Colin got into his role 100% and played it to the fullest.

This project was in development for more than three years.
Repeatedly the shooting was postponed due to internal conflicts. But if the clashes between the actors and the director can still be put down to the work process, the misunderstanding with the TV channel, for which the project was prepared, could put the shooting at risk of failure.
Fortunately, a new person was appointed to the post of chief editor in 2019, who approved the series and gave life to a wonderful story, which gathered a lot of positive feedback from critics and ordinary enthusiastic viewers.
72. The Order (2019–2020)

Usually working on Netflix projects involves the ideas of a huge team. Writers, producers, executive producers… Sometimes the number of people involved in the project reaches 30 or more people. But in this case the opposite happened. The role of producer and screenwriter took on Dennis Heaton. He also engaged in the selection of actors, and it should be noted that he succeeded very well.
71. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (2016– )
Creators: Phil Klemmer, Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim
Stars: Caity Lotz, Amy Louise Pemberton, Dominic Purcell
The heroes of the series take an amazing journey through time and go straight to the future, a world of high technology and great achievements.
Humanity has reached the pinnacle of its development, but, as was to be expected, a villain suddenly appears, seizing the most powerful technology and power on Earth. Now chaos reigns on the planet, and only a single hero can save humanity from the impending threat.
Work on the project, centered on Ray Palmer’s colorful account of the story, was set to begin in 2015. Long negotiations with writers and producers at The CW led to the creation of several storylines. Each idea was good in its own way, giving rise to several stories within a storyline.
The project was intended to be an intermediate series between “The Flash” and “Arrow”, covering one time period and tying together the stories of the main characters.
The positive critical acclaim for the series confirms that the hard work was not in vain, and the team did an excellent job.

But if there are villains in the world, then there must also be heroes who, even at the cost of their own lives, try to restore order in the name of justice.
This gripping series premiered in December 2017 on the History Channel.
From the first episodes the project was loved by viewers, and few knew what work it took to create it. Filming began back in 2015, but the executive producers changed three times, which slowed things down. Eventually, screenwriter and producer Dominic Minghella took over and brought the project to a successful finale.

The light, cheerful, positive storyline tells of the amazing adventures of ordinary Americans, who one day realize that they cannot live in the embrace of the stuffy bustling city. They embark on an adventure, setting in motion a merry-go-round of unpredictable events.
The script for the series was provided to Netflix seven years ago, but a heavy workload kept the project from coming to fruition.
And now, finally, it happened. Joe Swanberg took over production, and for the main roles were invited very bright and charismatic actors: Michael Chernus, Elizabeth Reaser, Jake Johnson.
As Michael Chernus claimed in his interview, shooting the series was one of his best jobs, charging him with positive energy for a long time.
68. Riverdale (2017– )
Creator: Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa
Stars: K.J. Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes

The series, created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, was first released in 2017 and immediately created a sensation.
The sincerity of the plot and the heartfelt performance of the actors made the project a success. But, as often happens, the successful start of work on the shooting was stalled by internal conflicts in the team. Roberto clashed with the writers, which caused the shooting of Season 2 to be delayed for a long time. However, the conflicts were subsequently resolved and work got back on track.

The series reveals many social problems and immerses the viewer in the difficult world of the underground, where people are forced to fight for their existence every day, not to live, but to survive.
Netflix specializes in the production of light entertainment series, but this time it went beyond the genre, providing the audience with a serious, heavy semantic plot, forcing the society to wake up from the sleep of spiritual oblivion.
It took the producers a long time to assemble a team, as the people who were close in spirit to the ideas of the series were to take on the job. As a result, after a year of searching, an excellent team was assembled, which, through their joint efforts, created a remarkable, powerful project.

Now their society is one of fear and despair.
Christopher Kaiser, known for his creative experiments, took over the work on the series. He decided to fill the project with realism, which makes some scenes staggering, plunging into a state of spiritual chaos.
The 1st season caused a wide public response, but was successful, and since the 2nd season, the filming process was stopped time and again. For a long time filming was interrupted by the pandemic Covid-19. However, as the organizers of the project assure, as soon as public life returns to normal, work on Season 2 will resume.

The main role of the mysterious stranger is brilliantly played by the talented Hannah John-Kamen. It is known that initially reading the script, she found it uninteresting and wanted to refuse to participate in the shooting. But the director persuaded the actress to try her hand.
